Josepha Valdez was born and raised in Southern California, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of California, Long Beach, where she studied Kinesiology, Sports Medicine. She spent a year working as the head athletic trainer at a high school focusing on concussion and traumatic brain injury management in young athletes. She is a 2014 graduate of the Masters of Physician Assistant Program at Western University of Health Sciences.
Josepha is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the California Board of Medicine.
She has been working with Dr. Purcell since 2014 and has special interests in vertigo, Parkinson’s disease, concussions, and post-concussive syndrome. She enjoys educating patients regarding vertigo, vestibulopathies and Parkinson’s’ disease versus Parkinsonism, and is developing educational materials for the practice and patients.
